Adil Pelister, born in Istanbul in 1962, graduated successfully from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Chemical Engineering in 1983. In 1987, he took his first step into industry by founding Beta Kimya A.Ş.. He is fluent in German and English, married, and the father of two children.
He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of five companies, primarily Beta Kimya San. ve Tic. A.Ş. and Chempa Industrial Materials A.Ş.
In April 2018, following the elective general assembly, Adil Pelister was elected as Chairman of the Board of İKMİB. During his four-year term, together with the Board Members, Supervisory Board Members, TİM Delegates, exporters of the chemical industry, and all stakeholders, he made significant contributions to positioning the chemical industry as Türkiye’s second-largest exporting sector.
Continuing to serve as Chairman of the Chemistry Sector Platform (KSP)—which brings together leading NGOs, universities, and associations of the chemical industry—Pelister has embraced the principle of transferring his 40 years of professional expertise to the advancement of Turkish industry and education.

Furthermore, Adil Pelister initiated the Chemical Technology Center project, which is of strategic importance for the development of the Turkish chemical industry, enhancing exports, and generating higher added value. Together with the Expanded Board Members, he continues his efforts toward establishing the Turkish Chemical Agency in the medium term.
